Featured vendors now get a stronger SEO link, free listings still send direct click traffic to your site. Full plain-English breakdown in the details below. Quick plain-English version. When a website links to another site, Google reads it as a small vote of confidence and can pass a chunk of search reputation along. That is what people mean when they say "SEO link" or "backlink". For about a year, every vendor profile on WeddingHelp passed that full vote of confidence through to the vendor's website, free listings and Featured listings alike. With 500-plus vendors, that meant we were quietly handing out a real Google ranking benefit to every business on the site, while our own search reputation slowly leaked out the door. So we rebalanced it. Free listings now get a plain direct link. Couples click through the same way, the listing still appears in our directory, still drives traffic, still gets messages. Nothing visible changed. Featured vendors get the full SEO link, which is now an actual perk of paying for Featured. We are calling this out because our signup page used to advertise a free backlink for every vendor and that was a stretch, so we fixed the wording. And anyone who has been Featured for a while just got an upgrade to their plan without paying extra. Same experience for couples, same value for free vendors, a meaningful bump for Featured vendors, our site gets stronger in search over time. Tap a category at the top to add or hide its card, status sticks around when you toggle it off and back on, and your selection saves across sessions.
