Artful Cakes is a boutique, family-run business led by Helena Borody, a Toronto-based multi-media artist and OCAD graduate who specializes in sugar sculpture. Every piece is designed and handcrafted from scratch, using sugar, fondant, or unique combinations of confections. Helena works with each couple to translate their vision, whether that's classical Victorian intricacy or minimalist contemporary style.
The studio treats cake design as a creative collaboration, paying attention to every detail and working with quality ingredients and materials. With over 20 years of custom cake experience, Helena creates one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect her deep understanding of color, texture, and space. Beyond wedding cakes, Artful also offers cupcakes, bridal accessories, and custom decor pieces like hand-painted centerpieces and floral wall hangings for rent in the Toronto area.
