About
James is a 37-year-old photographer based in southern Saskatchewan with over 10 years of experience behind the lens. He started with car photography and has since expanded to shoot weddings, portraits, boudoir, and events across Canada and beyond.
On wedding days, his approach is all about capturing the real moments as they unfold. He arrives early and stays fluid and unobtrusive, typically shooting around 1200 images per wedding. His process includes an icebreaker session before the big day to help couples feel comfortable in front of the camera. After the ceremony, he handles retouching and editing over the next 2 to 3 weeks, customizing the level of finishing work from basic color correction to full skin retouching and sky replacement.
He's drawn to weddings because they're one of the last authentic forms of visual storytelling in photography, uncomplicated and genuine. The memories he captures are meant to hang on walls for years to come.
