Erin Wallis has been photographing weddings across Vancouver Island and beyond for over 20 years. She approaches every celebration with intuition and calm presence, documenting moments as they naturally unfold with honesty, beauty, and care. Her approach is deeply rooted in emotion, connection, and story rather than shot lists—she scouts locations, stays fully immersed in your day, and captures the subtle details, looks, and connections that reveal who you are.
She's known for emotionally honest imagery and a deeply personal client experience. Erin is based in Campbell River but will occasionally travel for the right couple, right place, and perfect timing. She primarily works solo or with an assistant, finding it easier to stay immersed in moments that way. She also offers elopement packages (under 10 guests), including unique helicopter elopements through her partnership with 49 North Helicopters, featuring both Vancouver Island and West Coast Glacier options for couples seeking adventure and a stress-free celebration.
Erin only takes a limited number of weddings per year and believes the most amazing images happen when there's a wonderful connection between photographer and couple.

Do you work with shot lists?
No. Erin prefers to work off the flow of your wedding day rather than a prepared list. She scouts locations beforehand and stays fully immersed in the moments unfolding naturally. If you have a special story element to highlight (like how close you are with your sister), she's happy to hear that context, but a detailed shot list isn't her style.
What if the weather is bad?
Erin has a soft spot for rainy weddings. Living on Vancouver Island, she's handled all kinds of weather. While rain makes things more challenging, especially at outdoor venues, it can make your day memorable. If you roll with it and embrace the weather, you'll likely have amazing photos. She's photographed countless rainy weddings and will bring umbrellas and her best effort regardless.
When will I see my photos?
You'll receive 10-20 preview images within a week of your wedding. Your full online gallery uploads around 10 weeks later. Erin loves for your professional photos to be the first images your guests see of your day.
