About
Darci opened KAKE in 2016 as a one-woman studio in the Canmore mountains. The shop isn't open to the public except during flash sales announced the day before on Instagram and Facebook. All cakes are made from scratch and paired with Swiss meringue buttercream (all butter). Pricing depends on intricacy, materials, and decorating time. The studio also offers cupcakes, macarons, s'mores cookies, fairy cookie sandwiches, meringues, and hand-wrapped caramels.
Custom cakes start at $150 for a 6-inch (12 servings). Two-tier cakes serving 26 start at $335, and three-tier cakes serving 41 start at $533. For smaller weddings, Darci suggests faux tiers to get the size you want without extra servings, or slab cakes as a budget-friendly way to add more desserts. Please note the studio does not offer vegan or gluten-free options and requires a minimum of two weeks' notice for all orders.
