Laforet Catering
Chef Paul's outdoor fire cooking brings gourmet scratch-cooked meals to weddings and events across Simcoe County and Muskoka.
About
Chef Paul and his wife Burgundy run Laforet Catering, an upscale outdoor catering operation based in Orillia. Paul trained through George Brown's culinary program and brings over 15 years of professional chef experience to every event. Their signature is over-the-fire cooking, though they're equally comfortable working with a kitchen or BBQ setup if open flame isn't available. They specialize in scratch-cooked, multi-course dinners, buffet spreads, plated receptions, hors d'oeuvres, and dessert bars, all crafted with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.
For weddings, they start at $125 per person and accommodate up to 75 guests. They handle intimate dinners for two as well as larger celebrations, and they're used to working with allergies and dietary restrictions. Paul and Burgundy are committed to sustainable practices: they prioritize organic and minimally packaged ingredients, compost green waste, reduce food waste through careful planning, and use eco-friendly cleaning products.
They service anywhere within Simcoe County, Muskoka, Haliburton, and the GTA, with potential travel charges depending on distance. Available year-round and happy to cook through rain or shine.
