Merrill House is an 1878 Gothic Revival mansion restored as a boutique luxury hotel and venue, set in the heart of Prince Edward County. The property features 14 individually designed rooms and suites, accommodating weddings of up to 40 seated guests in one space or smaller intimate celebrations in various rooms throughout the house.
The venue offers multiple dining and ceremony options: indoor and tented spaces, a garden ceremony setting, conservatory portico, drawing room for champagne receptions and rehearsal dinners up to 12 people, a cellar ideal for dancing with capacity for up to 22, and the combined cellar and conservatory space or outdoor Indian marquee (May to October) for up to 40 guests. The property includes a conservatory bar, sauna, drawing room, parlour, fireplaces, and beautiful gardens.
Fine French catering is led by Head Chef Michael Sullivan, and the Wine Spectator-awarded cellar is overseen by Wine Director Astrid Young. A concierge team is available to support events, and housekeeping and turn-down service with pillow scenting is included for full-house rentals. Guests can book the entire property exclusively, sleeping up to 38 people across the 14 suites and enjoying breakfast, daily housekeeping, sauna access, VR experiences, and bonfire amenities.
