How long does a typical ceremony run?
Most ceremonies range from 15 to 30 minutes. Nathan finds the ideal length is 22 to 25 minutes before guests start getting restless and want the reception to begin.
What happens after the ceremony to make it official?
Once the ceremony concludes, Nathan registers your marriage license with the Ontario government. You'll receive a record of solemnization card with your license number. It typically takes 8 to 10 weeks for the government to process and register the marriage, after which you can request a formal certificate online.
Can you customize the ceremony script?
Yes. Nathan provides a script builder with 3 or 4 wording options for each section of the ceremony, plus a custom option for something specific you've seen or want to add. He also welcomes special readings, blessings, unity ceremonies, and other meaningful additions.
