Roots & Roses is a 160-acre ranch venue nestled high in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, about 20 minutes west of Cochrane. The property features thick forest and lush meadows, with outdoor ceremony and tented reception spaces. Located centrally between Calgary and Canmore (within an hour of each), the venue accommodates up to 100 guests.
The venue is owned by the Sabins, a family with deep roots in the Cochrane area spanning generations. They raise kids and cattle on the foothills land and are passionate about hosting whimsical wooded weddings. Weekend bookings include Friday-Sunday access to the property (with all guests departing by 2:00 AM on the wedding night). You can bring your own catering and alcohol, provided alcohol is licensed and served with pro-serve-certified bartenders and shuttle service. The tented reception area can convert to a ceremony space in rain, maintaining its beauty even during wet weather.
