The Cheese List
Cut-to-order artisan cheese and locally made charcuterie boards for any occasion.
About
The Cheese List is a specialty cheese and charcuterie shop in Saskatoon dedicated to showcasing Canadian artisan cheese and locally made cured meats. The owners, Bret and Kathryn, both bring over a decade of food and hospitality experience, including culinary training and expertise in cheese pairings and food pairing. They source cheeses as close to home as possible to keep things local and sustainable.
Everything is cut to order, which means you get the freshest product wrapped in special cheese paper to keep it tasting its best. They offer individual charcuterie boxes starting at $16, larger boards for groups, custom charcuterie tables delivered and set up for events, and specialized pairings and tastings. They'll work with you on custom orders, wholesale requests, and event catering.
Sustainability runs deep here. They compost and recycle everything they can't use, grow their own produce for house-made jams and preserves, and turn cheese scraps into housemade products. If you're into cheese and want to learn pairing tips from people who actually know their stuff, this is the place.

FAQs
What makes your cheese special?
All cheese is cut to order so you get the freshest product. It's wrapped in special cheese paper that allows it to breathe and keeps optimal moisture levels, extending shelf life and reducing waste. The focus is on Canadian artisan cheese from producers who care about quality milk and sustainable practices.
Do you offer event services?
Yes. Services include charcuterie tables delivered and set up for events (minimum 20 people, one week notice required at $26 per person), custom catering, cheese and wine or beer pairings, and custom charcuterie classes. Contact the shop to customize an event.
What's your approach to sustainability?
The shop sources locally made products to reduce carbon footprint, uses special cheese paper to minimize waste, composts everything that can't be used, and transforms waste into organic humus for their garden where they grow produce for house-made jams and preserves.
Do you offer farm-to-table menus?
The Cheese List can craft seasonal, farm-to-table menus where available.
