Where is The Reverie located?
We’re in Central Vancouver Island, nestled on a private forested hilltop overlooking the Salish Sea. It’s a peaceful, scenic spot just 20 minutes from the Nanaimo Departure Bay Ferry terminal, 25 minutes to Nanaimo Airport and 1.5 hours from Victoria.
How many guests can The Reverie accommodate?
Weddings & celebrations: Up to 40 guests
Hourly rentals: Varies based on setup, but generally best for 5–30 people depending on the event.
Is overnight accommodation available?
Yes! We can accommodate up to 12 overnight guests in the main house and two private Airbnb suites:
4 bedrooms + 3 bathrooms in the main home
2 fully equipped private suites downstairs with full bathrooms, kitchenettes and laundry
Can we use our own vendors?
Absolutely. You’re welcome to bring in your preferred vendors, or choose from our recommended list of trusted local florists, photographers, officiants, stylists, and more, many of whom offer 10–15% off for Reverie couples.
Can we tour the venue before booking?
Yes, we’d love to show you around! In-person and virtual tours are available by appointment.
Is The Reverie family-friendly?
Yes! Kids are welcome, and we have some fantastic kids’ bedrooms and incredible play space downstairs, but we ask that they are supervised at all times, especially outdoors, as we’re on a forested hilltop.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! We understand that planning an event takes both time and budgeting. We offer flexible payment plans for all weddings, elopements, and multi-day bookings. Payments are split into 4 equal amounts between booking and the date of your wedding.
Do we need a special event permit or liquor license?
Yes, you will need to acquire a special event permit and liquor license if you’re serving alcohol for purchase at weddings and larger celebrations.
Do you host micro-weddings?
