About
Waupoos Estates Winery is the only waterfront winery venue in Prince Edward County, situated on Prince Edward Bay with 700 feet of Lake Ontario frontage. Founded in 1993 as the county's first winery, the 100-acre estate sits directly on the water and offers a fairytale setting for intimate vineyard weddings surrounded by 20 acres of established vineyards and orchards.
The property features multiple on-site spaces for ceremonies and receptions, including a lakeside ceremony site on the dock, a tented pavilion for reception, and a century-old farmhouse available for rehearsal dinners or bridal party preparation. The kitchen is helmed by award-winning executive chef Kevin McKenna, who crafts seasonal farm-to-table menus using estate and local ingredients. Wine service is exclusively from Waupoos Estates' own selection of award-winning wines.
Couples have full access to the lower half of the property for on-site photography, and the venue provides tables, chairs, glassware, linens, and parking. Staff handle setup and cleanup. Most couples choose to rent the farmhouse for Friday night arrivals, and complimentary menu and wine tastings are available during planning.

What is included in the venue rental?
The $9,500+ venue rental fee (for minimum 80 guests) includes staff setup and cleanup, customizable packages and menus, complimentary menu and wine tasting, exclusive chef and kitchen and serving staff, full access to the lower half of the property, gorgeous grounds for photography, and all glassware, plates, cutlery, tables, chairs, and linen rentals. Additional guests over 80 are charged $75 per person.
What vendors do I need to arrange separately?
Couples provide their own sound systems, DJ or band, photographer, florist, decorator, personal wedding planner, and officiant. Waupoos has a trusted vendor list available upon request.
Can we stay at the property before or after the wedding?
Yes, the century farmhouse can be rented by the room or as a whole house, with a maximum occupancy of 8 people. Many couples choose to arrive Friday night to host a rehearsal dinner or enjoy the porch before the wedding day.
