Castle Mountain Resort
Rocky Mountain wedding venue in the Canadian Rockies with scenic ceremony sites, rustic reception space, and on-site accommodations for up to 250 guests.
About
Castle Mountain Resort sits at the end of Highway 774 in the Canadian Rockies, adjacent to Castle Provincial Park. The setting gives couples a sense of seclusion and exclusivity that's hard to find in busier mountain towns.
The ceremony site is nestled in lush greenery with views of Barnaby Ridge. Guests walk the mowed Yeti Trail to the outlook (with shuttle service available), and arrive to find chairs, marriage table, and PA system already set. The reception venue is in the Day Lodge, with abundant natural light and rustic character. It features reception tables on one end and a dance floor, stage, and open cocktail area on the other. An attached patio is also available. Both spaces accommodate groups of 100 to 250.
The resort offers a range of on-site accommodation options from hotel rooms to dorm-style lodging, condos, and vacation home rentals. Their team handles catering with alpine-inspired menu options or custom packages, plus rehearsal dinners and morning-after breakfasts. Only one wedding per weekend is booked, and the west end of the Day Lodge serves as a weather backup for ceremonies if needed.
FAQs
Is there a maximum number of guests allowed?
The resort's maximum capacity for both ceremonies and receptions is 250 people.
What happens if weather turns bad on the wedding day?
If you book both ceremony and reception, the west end of the reception area (dance floor and cocktail space) serves as an indoor backup for the ceremony. Ceremony-only bookings do not have an indoor option and may need to shift timing. Outdoor ceremonies are subject to weather conditions, and only couples who book both ceremony and reception are guaranteed indoor ceremony space in case of rain.
When can weddings be held at the resort?
Weddings run from early June through early October, typically 17 to 19 weeks per year. Winter weddings are generally not offered due to limited indoor space, though small groups of 40 or fewer may sometimes fit in smaller indoor function rooms by special arrangement.

Castle Mountain Resort offers beautiful outdoor settings (forest, garden, or mountain views).
Is the venue remote or quiet?
Castle Mountain Resort offers tranquil, remote settings ideal for private celebrations.
