Vancity Officiant is an award-winning ceremony practice founded by Kevin Leung and Kit Chan, built around a simple belief: every ceremony begins with relationships. Between two people, between families, across cultures, and with those who have become part of our lives.
With more than 2,500 ceremonies officiated across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, our approach begins with understanding the people and relationships behind each ceremony. Some couples want professional guidance and a ceremony they can move through with ease. Others want a more collaborative process, with time to explore their story, family backgrounds, cultures, traditions, and the people they want to acknowledge along the way.
Our work includes wedding ceremonies, intimate elopements, Chinese tea ceremonies, and other life ceremonies. With experience conducting ceremonies in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, we often help bridge languages, cultures and generations within the same celebration.
We are also proudly pet-inclusive. When a pet is an important part of a couple’s relationship or family, we make space for that connection within the ceremony rather than simply allowing them to be present.
Whatever the size or style of the ceremony, our focus remains the same: understanding the relationships behind it and giving those relationships their place in the moment.
