About
Jana is a BC-based photographer who's been documenting weddings and elopements since 2007, drawn to couples who do things their own way. She describes herself as a "professional light chaser and moment catcher" who celebrates diversity and builds connection with her clients before the big day.
Her approach is documentary and laid-back. She breaks away from posed, trendy shots and instead focuses on capturing you as you really are, whether that's the small moments others miss (your mom beaming during the first dance, your grandma cheering as you enter) or the quirky, authentic details that make your day yours. She uses a mix of natural light and flash as needed to preserve the vibe of your evening while keeping everyone visible.
All wedding packages include a second professional photographer, professionally edited high-resolution images, online gallery, 48-hour sneak peeks, printing rights, and timeline guidance. She's happy to travel across BC and beyond, and as of 2025 is based in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island with no travel fees for Island weddings.

Do you offer albums and prints?
Yes. Jana believes strongly in tangible records of your day. All packages include an online viewing and ordering gallery, and she works with printers and heirloom album manufacturers to create physical keepsakes.
When do we see our photos?
A sneak peek of edited favorites arrives within 48 hours. Full editing and delivery takes roughly 8 weeks, after which Jana is happy to discuss the best ways to get your images printed or into albums.
