What counts as a lead

A lead is a real couple who used Find My Vendors, matched with your business, and confirmed they want to hear from you. It is not a cold list. Every lead chose your category, your region, and agreed to share their details.

Each lead includes:

  • The couple's name and contact info (email, phone, and socials when provided)
  • Their wedding date (or "date flexible"), guest count, and budget range
  • Anything specific they are looking for, plus a personal note when they leave one

Where leads arrive

You get every lead in two places at the same time:

  1. Your email inbox, the moment the match is confirmed.
  2. The Leads tab of your Vendor Dashboard, so nothing gets lost in email.

A red badge on the Leads tab shows how many leads are new and still waiting on you. Once you update a lead's status, it stops counting toward the badge.

Track each lead with statuses

Every lead moves through a simple pipeline:

StatusWhat it means
NewJust arrived, nobody has reached out yet
ContactedYou have replied or reached out
BookedThe couple hired you
ArchivedIt did not work out, tucked away out of view

Use the quick buttons on each lead card ("Mark contacted", "Mark booked") or the status dropdown. Filters above the list let you view leads by status at any time, including archived ones.

Tips for winning leads

  • Reply fast. Couples usually message a few vendors at once, and the first thoughtful reply has a big edge.
  • Use the one-tap contact buttons. Each card has Email, Call, and Text actions with the couple's details filled in.
  • Read their note first. When a couple tells you what they want, referencing it in your reply goes a long way.
  • Archive what fizzles. A clean Active list makes follow-ups easier.

How to get more leads

Matches favor complete, active profiles, and Featured vendors rank higher in matchmaker results. See How to Get Your Vendor Page Seen and Recommended by AI for a full walkthrough of what to improve.
